Job Description

The State Palaces and Gardens of Baden-Württemberg are an unincorporated public institution. They are part of the Landesbetrieb Vermögen und Bau Baden-Württemberg and look after 62 important cultural monuments throughout Baden-Württemberg, which attract around 4 million visitors a year.

For the Department of Historical Gardens, we are looking for a

Scientific Volunteer (f/m/d)

for the duration of two years as soon as possible. The position is based in Bruchsal.

The traineeship offers the opportunity to become acquainted with the preservation, research and mediation of garden monuments.

The prerequisite is a Master's or Diplom/Magister degree within the framework of an accredited, subject-related course of study in landscape architecture, art history or a comparable course of study.

Relevant knowledge of garden monument preservation and the history of garden art is expected. A good command of common MS Office programs and specialized computer skills (AutoCAD, Photoshop) as well as a confident command of spoken and written English are required.

We offer a secure and regulated workplace. There is an extensive training program. The employment is based on the collective agreement for the public service of the Länder (TV-L). The remuneration is 50 er pay group 13 TV-L.
