The climate crisis has multiple impacts on human health and well-being. Municipalities have the opportunity to limit this health threat through adaptation measures and integrated strategies in the areas of climate change mitigation, climate impact adaptation, and health promotion. However, climate-resilient and health-promoting urban development requires interdepartmental or interdisciplinary collaboration, which is not yet lived in current practice in many places.

In the context of an interdisciplinary Autumn School "climate-resilient and health-promoting city (development)"we would like to invite master's students and young professionals as professionals and decision-makers "of tomorrow" to

• the connections between climate crisis, environment, health and urban and spatial development


• to enter into an interdisciplinary exchange with experts from science and practice and thereby overcome professional boundaries


• to get to know practical integrated strategies in municipalities


• and to take away impulses for study, job and commitment.

The Autumn School is organized by the Landesvereinigung für Gesundheit und Akademie für Sozialmedizin Niedersachsen e. V. (LVG undamp; AFS) in cooperation with the Academy for Spatial Development in the Leibniz Association (ARL), the Institute for Public Health and Nursing Research (IPP) of the University of Bremen and the German Society for Public Health (DGPH) and will take place from October 10 - 14 in Hannover.

Master students and young professionals (professionals up to 5 years after last degree) from diverse disciplines and work contexts, such as public health, health promotion, health management, urban and regional planning, environmental planning, administration, architecture, transport and the like can apply until July 10, 2022 to participate in the Autumn School. The number of participants is limited, so we reserve the right to make a selection.
