In 2024, the bdla celebrates its 111th birthday; founded in 1913 as the Bund Deutscher Gartenarchitekten BDGA, renamed the Bund Deutscher Landschafts-Architekten BDLA in 1972 and now the Bund Deutscher Landschaftsarchitekt:innen bdla.

The celebration will take place on April 12, 2024 in the newly opened Eierhäuschen im Plänterwald in Berlin. After the welcome address by bdla President Prof. Stephan Lenzen, the Director of the German Architecture Museum Peter Cachola Schmal will give a keynote speech.

The bdla is using this worthy occasion to launch the revised and updated online exhibition "111 Years of Landscape Architecture" on this evening.

Am 13. April 2024 führt eine Exkursion Interessierte nach Potsdam. Ziele sind in die Ausstellung „Karl Foerster. Neue Wege – Neue Gärten“ anlässlich seines 150. Geburtstages und exklusiv auch die Besichtigung von Haus und Garten der Familie Foerster in Potsdam-Bornim. Abgerundet wird die Potsdam-Tour zu den Freianlagen des neuen Kunsthauses "DAS MINSK".
