On December 10, 2024, representatives from the profession, practice, administration and academia came together at the Hamburg Chamber of Architects for an initial meeting. The starting point was the letter from Prof. Stephan Lenzen to Senators Fegebank, Pein and Kerstan in August 2024, in which the bdla advocated for an independent landscape architecture course in the Hamburg metropolitan region.

Nationwide festival Women in (Landscape)Architecture from June 19 to 29, 2025
Women in Architecture is an initiative to make women visible in architecture, urban planning, landscape and interior design, architecture and to promote diversity in building culture. The first festival of this kind in 2021 took place in Berlin; the second and now nationwide festival will be held from June 19 to 29, 2025. WIA 2025 is supported and accompanied by Federal Building Minister Klara Geywitz (BMWSB) and the President of the Federal Chamber of Architects, Andrea Gebhard, as patrons.
