Data protection

The Bund Deutscher Landschaftsarchitekt:innen, operator of this website, takes the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations and this privacy policy.

We would like to provide you with information about our work on our website and refer to the processing for the protection of our legitimate interests in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR as the legal basis for this.

It is generally possible to use our website without providing personal data. If personal data (e.g. name, address or email addresses) is collected on our website, this is always done on a voluntary basis as far as possible. This data will not be passed on to third parties without your express consent.

We would like to point out that data transmission over the Internet (e.g. when communicating by e-mail) may be subject to security vulnerabilities. Complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.

Server log files

When you visit our website, the provider stores data in so-called server log files, which your Internet browser automatically transmits to the provider, in particular

  • Date and time of the server request
  • Description of the type of web browser used
  • Operating system used
  • Referrer URL (page from which the file was requested)
  • Name of the requested file
  • amount of data transferred
  • Access status (file transferred, file not found, etc.)
  • IP address of the accessing device

This data is stored for a period of 7 days. The IP address is anonymized immediately after processing and before it is stored. This data is not merged with other data sources. We reserve the right to check this data retrospectively if we become aware of specific indications of unlawful use.

SSL encryption

This site uses SSL encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as the inquiries you send to us as the site operator. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from "http://" to "https://" and by the lock symbol in your browser line.

If SSL encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

Contacting us

If you send us inquiries by e-mail, your details will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the inquiry and in the event of follow-up questions. We will not pass on this data without your consent. We delete the inquiries if they are no longer required. We review the necessity on an ongoing basis; the statutory retention periods also apply.

Cookies

When users access the website, one or more cookies are stored on their computer. A cookie is a small file that contains a specific character string and may uniquely identify your browser. The provider uses cookies to improve the convenience and quality of its services, for example by saving user settings. Cookies do not cause any damage to the user's computer and do not contain viruses.
We use session cookies to provide login functions.

It is also possible to use the website without cookies. Users can deactivate the storage of cookies in their browser, restrict them to certain websites or set their browser to notify them before a cookie is stored. You can delete cookies from your computer's hard disk at any time using your browser's data protection functions. In this case, the functions and user-friendliness of the website may be restricted.
