This training provides a comprehensive introduction to climate change, urban planning and municipal processes for professionals working in urban development, environmental management and public administration. Through a combination of live online sessions, a two-day face-to-face meeting and self-directed learning units, participants will be empowered to address the challenges of climate change in urban areas and to develop and implement effective solutions.

The training aims to sensitize urban planners and municipal employees to the challenges of climate change and to enable them to design climate-resilient cities in a practical way. The aim is to enable them to integrate adaptation measures into municipal planning processes in a targeted manner - despite limited resources and conflicting interests of various stakeholders.

By using planning tools such as the urban climate simulation model PALM-4U, the effects of measures can be calculated in advance. The software was specially tailored to the needs of municipalities and developed in close cooperation with municipal users to ensure practical application.

Our training is led by experienced experts from the fields of building physics and urban planning.

We have applied to various chambers of architects for recognition of the event as further training.

Um eine intensive und qualitativ hochwertige Betreuung zu gewährleisten, ist die Teilnehmerzahl auf 15-20 Personen begrenzt. Eine frühzeitige Anmeldung wird daher empfohlen. Die Teilnahmegebühr beträgt 2.490 Euro. Dieser Betrag deckt alle Schulungsunterlagen, Verpflegung während der Präsenztage am Fraunhofer IBP in Stuttgart sowie den Zugang zu den digitalen Ressourcen ab. Die Unterkunft ist nicht enthalten.
