The Bundesverband GebäudeGrün e.V. (BuGG) is holding the BuGG specialist congress "Greening existing buildings" in Berlin on May 6 and 7, 2025.

The aim of the "Existing Buildings Green (BeGG)" project is to create qualified procedures and instructions for the subsequent implementation of green roofs and façades in existing buildings (commercial and private residential buildings). Interested parties, planners and contractors should be able to use checklists, implementation examples and planning aids to check (and later put out to tender) whether and what type of building greening and system (roof and façade greening) can be implemented, what needs to be taken into account and what costs can be expected.Based on the experience of those involved in construction and by collecting data from various research and surveys, the most important points worthy of consideration are to be determined, described in detail with regard to subsequent greening and, if possible, backed up with cost guide values, and best practice examples are also to demonstrate feasibility and provide suggestions.
