Green-blue infrastructure in the district - a combination of shady greenery and cooling water. Both are becoming increasingly important in hot summers due to climate change. Vulnerable groups and people in precarious living conditions in particular live outside and are affected by the heat. How can a green-blue infrastructure therefore help to design public open spaces in the neighborhood as recreational areas? What measures are effective and sustainable in terms of cooling, shade and quality of stay? How can municipalities and social institutions make their open spaces resilient in order to protect vulnerable groups in particular? The conference will showcase exemplary solutions from the practice of open space planning and discuss them with stakeholders from social services, urban/regional planning and the state health department.
