Master craftsman / technician (m/f/d) in gardening and landscaping



(E.-Gr. 9b TVöD, weekly working time 39 hours)

The Green Planning department manages approx. 270 ha of green spaces in public green spaces and parks, playgrounds, sports areas, schools, daycare centers, other public facilities and traffic areas. The dynamic development of the city of Rüsselsheim am Main and climate change place a variety of demands on the city administration. The sustainable planning, safeguarding and management of these facilities are among the tasks of the Green Planning department.



The area of responsibility will essentially comprise the following areas:

- You will plan, prepare the invitation to tender, monitor the progress and prepare the accounts for general building maintenance work and planting, in particular sustainable tree planting within urban facilities

- You coordinate the planning and maintenance measures in the context of other urban infrastructure measures
.
- You optimize the technical, functional, economic and climate-adapted green spaces and outdoor facilities

- You coordinate tree and green space sponsorships, promote and support volunteer work.

- You process insurance claims, for example in the event of damage to private properties, e.g. caused by municipal trees or damage caused by third parties to municipal green spaces and trees.

- You take part in interdepartmental project working groups.

- You will be involved in drawing up the budget estimates.

- You will be responsible for public relations work such as inquiries from citizens, press releases and political committees.



You will impress us with:

- Completed training and qualification as a master craftsman/technician in gardening and landscaping.

- Several years of professional experience in the field.

- Your experience in the supervision of commissioned planning offices and in the perception of client properties.

- Your good knowledge of the relevant standards and legal regulations as well as in dealing with VOB, UVgO.

- Your strategic and conceptual thinking personality.

- Your strong communication and conflict resolution skills as well as your team and service orientation.

- Your existing experience in communicating complex interrelationships in the area of public green spaces and playgrounds to citizens and political bodies.

- Your comprehensive IT skills - in particular MS Office applications and AVA® programs.

- Your independent, responsible and goal-oriented way of working.

- Your high level of motivation and ability to work under pressure.

- Your class B driving license and willingness to use your own car for business trips for a corresponding allowance.
