Job Description

We are looking for you for the Garden, Cemetery and Forestry Office of the City of Stuttgart. The positions are to be filled for an indefinite or fixed term until 31.12.2031 at the latest.



The City Green Department is responsible for the planning, construction and maintenance of all urban open spaces and outdoor facilities in the state capital of Stuttgart. In addition to the Major and Special Projects department, which is responsible for large open space projects, there is also the option of starting in one of our four planning districts. As part of a team, you will work on projects independently and thus shape the quality of life of the state capital Stuttgart in a large area.



Your main tasks:



-As project manager, you will be responsible for the management and supervision of commissioned architects and engineering firms in all service phases in accordance with HOAI, deadline, quality and cost control

- You develop, plan and implement the construction projects together with other offices, external project managers and user groups

- You will act as the client and property owner for feasibility studies, development plans and planning applications

- You represent the department at meetings, prepare local council documents and presentations and take part in committee meetings

- You will be involved in organizational development processes within the office and the Urban Green Department

Your profile:



- A degree in engineering (FH/TH/TU) or Bachelor/Master of Science/Engineering in the field of landscape architecture/landscaping or in a comparable field

- Professional experience in project management and handling of open space projects in all HOAI service phases as well as good knowledge of construction, procurement and fee law is desirable

- Ability to recognize and demand economic and sustainable planning results as well as to consider and measure maintenance resources

- Organizational and communication skills, negotiating skills, assertiveness and a confident manner towards citizens and in political committees

- High sense of responsibility and ability to work in a team as well as confident handling of peak workloads

- Possession of driving license class B
