We are bhm - specialists in the field of landscape, open space and urban planning with offices in Bruchsal, Nürtingen and Freiburg. Become part of our team and work with us on exciting, varied projects. To strengthen our interdisciplinary team in Freiburg, we are looking for a committed employee (m/f/d) with a focus on faunistic mapping, in particular avifauna, as well as an interest in the processing of approval procedures. The job advertisement is primarily aimed at ornithologists (m/f/d) with professional experience.



The tasks for this position include in particular:



- Collection of faunistic data and coordination with the specialist planners involved (m/f/d);

- Evaluation of mapping results in maps and technical reports;

- Conceptual development, implementation and review of compensatory measures under species protection law;

- Processing of project approvals such as environmental reports, EIAs/LBPs, species protection assessments, FFH and Natura 2000 impact assessments and their processing;



We would like you to:



- a university degree in landscape planning, landscape ecology, geoecology, environmental sciences, biology or a comparable course of study

- Very good knowledge of avifauna

- Solution-oriented thinking and acting with a high degree of practical relevance and good communication skills

- confidence and accuracy in formulating technical texts and presenting the results of your work

- confident handling of industry-standard software, ideally ArcGIS and MS Office

- a high level of commitment and independent action in a team-oriented structure and

a friendly and competent demeanor.

- Driving license class B
