The Garden, Cemetery and Forestry Office plans and maintains the city's green spaces, cemeteries and open spaces with currently around 600 employees. The position is located in the "Lower Nature Conservation Authority, Green Planning and New Construction" department in the "Green Planning and Garden Monument Conservation" division, which is responsible for green planning as part of urban development, urban land-use planning and the building permit process, as well as for garden monument conservation.
Your tasks include:
- Preparation of specialist open space planning contributions and statements on development plans
- Green planning support for urban development projects and contributions to urban development contracts
- Participation in the preparation and preliminary examination of urban and open space planning competitions
- Technical assessments and opinions on planning applications
- Advising architects, developers and investors
- Independent preparation of documents and corresponding representation in political committees
Your profile:
- Bachelor's degree in landscape architecture, landscape conservation, geography or comparable qualification
- green planning expertise in the context of urban planning as well as comprehensive knowledge of nature conservation, building and planning law
- Conceptual and networked thinking, creativity and innovative ability
- Confident manner, strong communication skills, assertiveness and negotiating skills
- Social skills, resilience and the ability to work in a team
- Professional experience in urban open space planning and knowledge of public administration desirable
