At the Office for Landscape Conservation and Green Spaces we are looking for an engineer (m/f/d) for a limited period until 30.09.2026 in the field of urban greenery and forestry in the area of "Implementation of street tree concept".



With around 850 employees in various employment groups, the Office for Landscape Conservation and Green Spaces manages a comprehensive urban green area with numerous parks and around 4,000 hectares of forest land. It also operates 55 cemeteries in the city of Cologne.



YOUR FUTURE TASKS:

You...

- are responsible in particular for the implementation of the street tree concept

- carry out the implementation planning for the new plantings in the street area

- create and carry out the tenders, including awarding

- take over the construction management of the planting work and clarify fundamental issues with third parties

- are responsible for the accounting and documentation of new plantings

- represent the area of responsibility on committees and in the district council



YOUR PROFILE:

You have a degree (at least a university of applied sciences diploma or bachelor's degree) in landscape architecture, landscape conservation, open space planning, open space, landscaping and green space management or a comparable field of study.

- have strong specialist knowledge of tree care, tree protection and the duty to ensure the safety of trees and the associated guidelines and laws

- already have experience in the field of project organization for construction measures and are willing to learn and perform

The position is temporary until 30.09.2024. Employment with the City of Cologne is permanent.

The position is valued according to pay group 11 of the collective agreement for the public service (TVöD).

The salary range in pay group 11 (TVöD-VKA) is between € 4,032.38 (experience level 1) and € 5,975.19 (experience level 6).
