At the Office for Landscape Conservation and Green Spaces we are looking for an engineer (m/f/d) for the field of basic and landscape planning with immediate effect.
The Office for Landscape Conservation and Green Spaces deals with all planning tasks relating to urban green spaces. As part of the team, you will be involved in urban land-use planning and building permits with regard to green planning issues, design compensatory measures, develop new parks and green spaces and secure the green infrastructure.
We protect and develop Cologne's open spaces, integrate ecological measures and update Cologne's landscape plans for this purpose.
YOUR FUTURE TASKS:

- supervise specialist offices in the development of green infrastructure plans and are generally responsible for the technical support of planning offices
- comment on development plans and project and development plans as the lower nature conservation authority in urban land-use planning procedures
- prepare statements on preliminary building inquiries and building applications, taking into account the green stipulations from development plans and formulate conditions and notes on tree protection and the safeguarding of green and open spaces
- process applications for permission to fell municipal trees
- advise architects and citizens in the planning permission process
- answer inquiries and prepare statements for municipal committees, municipal departments and citizens
- supervise competitions and workshops
YOUR PROFILE:
You have a degree (at least a university of applied sciences diploma or bachelor's degree) in landscape conservation, landscaping and green space management, landscape ecology or a comparable field of study
