Job Description

The Bavarian State Ministry of Food, Agriculture, Forestry and Tourism intends to recruit up to three graduates (m/f/d) with a successful master's or diploma degree from a college or university for the preparatory service for entry into the fourth qualification level as of July 1, 2025.



Depending on the subject specialization, the following training and examination areas are available in the preparatory service:

- Horticulture

- Landscape conservation



Building on the respective degree, intensive training in pedagogy, consulting, administration and promotion takes place at the State Management Academy for Food, Agriculture and Forestry, the Offices for Food, Agriculture and Forestry with the agricultural colleges specializing in horticulture, horticulture and landscaping or organic farming and other institutions.


If you

- have successfully completed a course of study at a college or university with a Master's degree or Diplom-Ingenieur/in (Univ.) in the field of study

o Horticultural sciences

o Landscaping or landscape architecture

o or a comparable course of study with similar content

- have German citizenship or that of another EU member state (with a command of the German language),

- are committed, flexible and sociable,

- and also want to inspire students at technical colleges in the broad spectrum of your field of training in theoretical lessons,

- Preparatory service

The preparatory service generally lasts 24 months.

Upon recruitment, a civil servant relationship on revocation is established, which ends with the appointment as a probationary civil servant.



Subsequent appointment as a probationary civil servant after completion of the preparatory service depends on the examination results, official requirements and available positions. Recruitment to the preparatory service does not give rise to a legal entitlement to be taken on as a probationary civil servant.



There is a particular interest in applications from women. The decision on the allocation of posts is made on application with the involvement of the Equal Opportunities Officer.

The positions are suitable for severely disabled people. Severely disabled applicants (f/m/d) will be given preferential consideration if their suitability, qualifications and professional performance are otherwise essentially equal.

NOTE: Further recruitment requirements, which must only be proven at a later date on request, are

- a certificate of good conduct in accordance with Section 30 (5) BZRG, which is intended for submission to an authority and must not be older than three months,

- a driving license that entitles you to use a passenger car,

- a written declaration that no criminal proceedings, public prosecutor's investigation or disciplinary proceedings are pending against you and

- a health certificate attesting to your medical suitability to perform the preparatory service as a civil servant on revocation as well as a statement on your probable medical suitability for appointment as a civil servant for life - including linguistic suitability (with regard to speech disorders such as phonetic or word/phrase formation disorders).
