On 8 and 9 May 2017, the 2nd Federal Congress "Green in the City - For a Livable Future" will take place at the Colosseum Theater in Essen.

The Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety invites you to attend.

At the congress, Federal Minister Dr. Barbara Hendricks will present the White Paper "Urban Greening". Topics and contents of the White Paper will be discussed with representatives from politics and practice, civil society, business and science as well as stakeholders from other European countries. Excursions will complement the congress programme.

The White Paper is the result of a broad-based, multi-year dialogue process on the status of urban green infrastructure initiated by the BMUB. It contains central fields of action and measures for securing and qualifying green and open spaces, on which the federal government will focus its attention in the coming years.

The bdla was intensively involved in the White Paper process with statements and position papers and will analyse the further development.
