From May 29 to 31, 2018, the green industry met again at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition
It is organized jointly by NürnbergMesse China and the Shanghai Landscape Architecture and Gardening Trade Association (SLAGTA).
It is one of the most important Chinese business platforms for decision-makers who plan, build and maintain private and municipal gardens, parks, open spaces, sports grounds and playgrounds. Darren Guo, Managing Director NürnbergMesse China: "The GLC is already one of the most professional and important trade fairs for urban design and landscape architecture in China. This is where industry players find answers to their questions about China's emerging green market."
In 2018, a high-level congress "China International Symposium on Ecological Landscape Planning and Construction - Building the green city of tomorrow " was also held. Seven speakers presented on the first two days of the fair, including a case study in landscape design and architecture, and talked about the difference between Chinese and European urban planning. Other conference topics included "The Potential of Public Places", "From Comprehensive Planning to Implementation" and "Living Roofs Integrated into China's Urban Water Systems". Speakers included Daniel Roehr, Padraic Kelly and XiaoWei Ma.
New in 2018 was the presentation of the "Green Master Awards" to innovative manufacturers of construction and maintenance machinery and their distributors. The international jury also included the conceptual sponsor of the leading international trade fair GaLaBau, the BGL, and media partner Patzer Verlag.
After 2017, the bdla was once again one of the supporters of the fair and - in close cooperation with NürnbergMesse - presented the results of the competition for the German Landscape Architecture Award 2017.
