The preparation or updating of a landscape framework plan is a comprehensive undertaking.
This usually requires a Europe-wide invitation to tender when awarding the contract due to the expected total volume. In order to counter uncertainties associated with this, the lower nature conservation authorities (UNB) in Lower Saxony now have a specialist authority working aid on the subject of "Awarding landscape framework plans" available as a guide.
The guidelines were developed in cooperation with the Association of German Landscape Architects (Lower Saxony and Bremen regional group) and, with a view to practical suitability, were fed back to several lower nature conservation authorities currently dealing with this topic.
