On 28 and 29 September 2018, the Association of German Landscape Architects bdla invites you to the bdla Designer Days in Berlin for the first time.

The innovative specialist event, which is aimed in particular at landscape architects working in planning offices, will take place at the German Architecture Centre in Mitte.

The first day of the event will focus on new design and application possibilities for concrete and natural stone. Keywords are photoconcrete, concrete floors and walls made of stamped concrete in outdoor areas. There will be reports on the work of LAAC Architekten from Innsbruck and KEHRBAUMARCHITEKTEN from Munich. On the subject of natural stone, new surface finishing techniques will be discussed. Prof. Jenny B. Osuldsen from Snøhetta Landscapes in Oslo has agreed to give a work report on the use of natural stone. In her lecture in English on "Best practice for the use of natural stone" she will present, among other things, the "Oslo Opera" project.

The second day of the event will focus on new planning methods. Not only BIM, short for Building Information Modeling, but also other facets of three-dimensional planning will shape everyday office life in the future. Keywords are point clouds and virtual reality. At the end of the series of lectures, Prof. Christophe Girot will talk about the future of landscape architecture.

Excursions to the Park am Gleisdreieck as well as to the Berlin Wall Memorial and the Park am Nordbahnhof - led by the landscape architects responsible for the planning - will conclude the training.
