At the Joint Federal Congress in Heilbronn on 24 May 2019, the leading "green" professional associations, including bdla, called on the Federal Government to act.

In the meantime, more than 30 associations, societies and institutions have signed the resolution, including the particularly strong membership of the Bund Deutscher Gartenfreunde (almost one million members) and the Bund Heimat und Umwelt (almost 500,00 members).

At the heart of the resolution is the demand that, on the basis of the White Paper on Urban Greening "Green in the City - For a Future Worth Living In", an independent funding programme for the preservation and development of the urban green-blue infrastructure be set up to supplement the urban development funding programmes.
