The next Convention of Building Culture, the central forum for the formation of opinion on planning and building in Germany, will take place on 18 and 19 May 2021 at the Kunst-

Due to the Corona pandemic, the Convention (as of February 2021) will take place in a somewhat reduced form this year. The main focus is on the attendance event for the members of the Convention and the election of the Foundation Board and the Advisory Board.

In addition, the two-day event will consist of a comprehensive conference programme. The focal points and recommendations for action of the Baukulturbericht 2020/21 "Public Spaces" will be further presented and discussed in depth at this year's Convention. The "Base Camp of Building Culture" will focus on open forums, working formats and discussion rounds. The focus topics include "Soil Gold" and "Building Culture in Practice". Here, under the moderation of the forum leaders, there will be debates with each other on current key issues of building culture and how they can be communicated, and good examples and the results of the practical discussions that have taken place throughout Germany up to this point will be presented. In addition, a design workshop is planned for students to develop concepts and implement their own ideas on the topic of "public space" in the Schiffbauergasse quarter.

A varied cultural programme will, as far as possible, link the formats with each other and at the same time create a bond for all participants. Above all, however, the Convention of Baukultur is open to the public, despite all the current adversities and those that may still be expected in May. And you are cordially invited! We would be delighted if you would like to take part on 18 and 19 May in Potsdam. All information on the programme and registration can be found on the homepage of the Bundesstiftung Baukultur.
