On Friday, 1 July 2022 and Saturday, 2 July 2022, the city of Kassel and the bdla invite you to an excursion to the documenta city of Kassel.

The city in northern Hesse will once again host the documenta in 2022. From 18 June to 25 September next year, doors and gates and open spaces will open to the world's most important exhibition of contemporary art.

Day by day, documenta fifteen becomes more visible in Kassel's urban space, more present in the everyday lives of its inhabitants and all those interested in art. Ticket sales have begun and more and more new exhibition locations are being added; Kassel East - called the "workbench" of Kassel - is increasingly becoming the focus of the art exhibition for the first time.

To this end, the artists' collective ruangrupa from Jakarta is curating the 15th edition.

On the way to documenta fifteen, ruangrupa invites community-oriented collectives, organizations and institutions from all over the world to practice lumbung - Indonesian term for a communal rice barn - and to work on new models of sustainability and collective practices of sharing.
