Against the backdrop of the German government's ambitious expansion targets for photovoltaics with a total energy output of 200 gigawatts by 2030, the Competence Center for Nature Conservation and Energy Transition (KNE) has published a brochure that addresses nature conservation aspects in solar parks.

This is intended to provide municipal stakeholders with a user-friendly and practical guide - from preparatory project planning, through the designation of suitable sites, to measurable success monitoring of the respective biodiversity measures. The brochure also refers to planning tools for site identification, various criteria catalogs and other publication references. The brochure can be downloaded here free of charge.
