The German Builder-Owner Award, recognized by experts as the most important award in the field of residential construction in Germany, has been awarded for more than three decades. The announcement of the Bauherrenpreis 2024 was published on December 5, 2023.

A central theme of the German Builder-Owner Award is high-quality yet economical residential construction that is also affordable for users. Affordable housing is built both in new and existing buildings. The competition is looking for forward-looking and innovative examples that meet the diverse challenges of our time and offer transferable solutions. One of the assessment criteria is "open space design and climate adaptation".

The Association of German Landscape Architects bdla is a partner of the German Builder-Owner Award 2024.

Applications can only be submitted via the online portal https://2024.einreichung-deutscherbauherrenpreis.de. The application deadline is 26.02.2024 at 6 pm.

The award ceremony will take place on June 26, 2024 as part of the Housing Future Day 2024 on the EUREF Campus in Berlin.
