Liveable streetscapes through adapted speeds wanted. Submissions until May 31, 2024

The Association for Urban, Regional and State Planning (SRL) and the ecological transport club VCD have announced the German Transport Planning Award. The focus of the eighth competition is "Liveable streetscapes through adapted speeds".

The aim is to find innovative solutions for speed reduction in cities and municipalities. The good examples should impress through integrated traffic planning, increase the quality of life on site, improve the environmental situation and have a high design quality. Criteria for the evaluation are increased space equity, quality of stay, traffic safety, a high degree of transferability, participation, a possible evaluation and the achievement of acceptable speeds.

Projects and traffic trials already completed between 2018 and 2023 can be submitted. The submission deadline is May 31, 2024. The award ceremony will take place in Frankfurt am Main in October 2024.
