The Federal Ministry for the Environment and the Federal Environment Agency are once again looking for innovative, effective and sustainable projects in the field of climate adaptation and prevention until March 22, 2024.

The prize is endowed with prize money of €25,000 per winner and honors exemplary solutions for prevention and adaptation to the consequences of climate change. Applications are possible in the following categories:

- Municipalities

- Private and municipal companies

- Research and educational institutions

- Associations, federations and foundations

In June 2024, a total of twenty projects will be nominated for the award. A jury of experts from the Federal Ministry for the Environment, the Federal Environment Agency, the local authority umbrella organizations and from the worlds of business and research, among others, will select one winner per category from the nominated projects at the end of June 2024.
