The Economy Online working group met again on March 17, 2024. One focus was the follow-up to the Economic Forum, which was in high demand with over 150 participants on February 23 in Kassel.
It was found that the topics set, such as company succession and employee participation as well as climate neutrality in planning offices, were well placed and ensured a high level of discussion and exchange among the participants.
The Evangelische Akademie in Frankfurt am Main has already been booked for the next Business Forum on February 28, 2025. In addition to artificial intelligence, possible lecture topics include current developments regarding the HOAI amendment in area planning. Artificial intelligence and advancing digitalization are seen by the working group members as an increasingly important and pressing issue in the day-to-day work of planning offices.
Intensive discussions are already underway in the individual state chambers of architects, for example with regard to the effects on planning services or the general self-image of the planning profession in the context of digitalization. Copyright, new programming tools and fully digitized design services are also mentioned as keywords. Further discussion will therefore take place on an ongoing basis in the working group.
Finally, expert spokesperson Jörg Homann provided information on the status of the HOAI amendment: The expert report on the evaluation and further development of the service profiles was published on January 17 of this year. The HOAI regulation text, the service profiles with the basic services and special services as well as the object lists have been revised in this report. The final report is the basis for the subsequent fee report and the further regulation procedure.
