Jörg Homann again invited the working group members to an online meeting on October 11, 2024 and reported on the current status of the amendment to the HOAI and the work in working group 2 "Project planning for buildings and interiors, outdoor facilities".
The 15th Economic Forum on February 28, 2025 in Frankfurt am Main will focus on new and innovative forms of collaboration at various planning and project levels. The possibilities of artificial intelligence in planning offices will also be highlighted in a separate presentation. Initial suggestions for topics have already been discussed with a view to the 16th Economic Forum in 2026.
One conceivable focus mentioned includes models for management training in order to further strengthen the skills and qualifications of managers in the landscape architecture industry. In addition, the topic of company valuation, including various financing models and company succession at the level of company law, was considered potentially worthy of discussion by the working group members.
From the regional groups, the contribution of bdla Bavaria, which has developed a new guide on the topic of "taster internships", was highlighted in particular. Using a practical example of an internship, this guideline offers a range of assistance in approaching and recruiting young talent and should also contribute to general encouragement to offer student internships in planning offices. Finally, the question of how gender- and diversity-sensitive topics can be incorporated more deeply into planning offices was addressed. Specifically, the establishment of gender-equitable working models and sufficient consideration of equal opportunities and equity in everyday working life were mentioned.
