On 3 April 2020, the members of the Executive committee met in the virtual GoToMeeting room. The two-hour meeting was thus characterized by concentrated debates and precise resolutions. The focus was on the foreseeable and potential consequences of the Corona crisis for the members and the association.

Special mention was made of the one-and-a-half-hour online lecture by bdla legal counsel Dr. Sebastian Schattenfroh on the "Corona crisis - effects on planning and construction". His commitment to be available to answer questions on this topic in the Construction Manager Forum was appreciated.

For the first half of 2020, the bdla had to cancel all events. The Presidium agrees that - taking into account the general situation and the decisions of the government - for example the 2nd part of the UBB course, GaLaBau trade fair appearance and bdla construction meeting, BIM workshop, designer days, closed meeting, planting planner days should be pushed forward.

It is pleasing that with Bavaria, Saxony and Thuringia further regional groups are interested in the common collection of contributions. In May, a web meeting is to take place on this topic with the management. The possible modification of the model for the collection of dues could create a considerable (pleasing) dynamic.

This year the relaunch of Landschaftsarchitektur-heute.de is to be realised. The agencies are working flat out; a first draft ready for consultation was discussed in the relevant committees at the beginning of May.

With regard to the HOAI amendment, a draft regulation is expected before the summer break, if necessary. The executive committee is in favour of setting up a working group on the HOAI under the leadership of the current expert spokesman on economics, Jens Henningsen. He should, supported by the BGSt., and with the help of the new speaker running for office, inquire about potential comrades-in-arms and put together the AG. The project of an advanced training meeting with Dr. Schattenfroh is supported.
