On the occasion of GaLaBau, the Executive Committee met on September 12, 2024 at the Exhibition Center Nuremberg. As usual, the Executive Committee prepared the content of the various meetings.

This was on the agenda of the Parliamentary Evening on October 15, 2024 in Berlin. With our traditional partners ZVG, BdB and BGL, the current topics of the Natural Climate Protection Action Program, Horticultural Strategy, Nature Restoration Law and the amendment to urban planning law were agreed. The GALK and the bdla also want to discuss the challenges of climate adaptation together in the fall; a meeting between the two presidiums is intended to promote closer cooperation. Another focus of the Executive Committee's deliberations was the ongoing HOAI amendment; the expert preparations for the amendment are being followed in the area and open space planning.

The Executive Committee approved a Women in Landscape Architecture 2025 concept. bdla Berlin/Brandenburg had prepared a concept - in accordance with an advisory board resolution - which was made available to the boards of the bdla regional groups as a guide. Next year, the Women in Architecture WIA festival will take place nationwide from June 19 to 29. It is about a discourse on women in architecture, urban planning, landscape and interior design.

The aim of the bdla is to present landscape architects with a variety of events and to enter into a discourse with other disciplines to promote diversity in building culture. Against this background, the bdla association has launched an initial appeal to the bdla regional groups to take up the topic, participate and thus contribute to making the profession in general and female planners in particular even more visible and to inspire people for landscape architecture.
