bdla building conference again interesting programme item for specialist planners
The 23rd GaLaBau trade fair will take place in Nuremberg from 12 to 15 September 2018. After 2016, the Association of German Landscape Architects will once again present the association, the profession and the planners at its own exhibition stand in Hall 3A. In addition, the bdla - following a good tradition - will contribute to enriching the high-quality professional programme by holding the bdla construction meeting on Thursday, 13 September.
The 2016 trade fair statistics show that 40 percent of the visitors were from specialist companies in the field of green and open space construction, while around six percent were specialist planners/ architects. Among the day visitors, the trade fair registered around 3,000 admissions from people aged 18 to 25 (pupils, students, trainees). In each case, 27 percent of those questioned gave further training/expansion of knowledge or exchange of experience and information as the reason for their visit.
The professional association has structured its involvement at GaLaBau 2018 accordingly - based on the event analysis of the 22nd trade fair and the targeted programme for 2018. The plans envisage each day of the trade fair having a thematic focus, which will be competently designed with external experts as well as experts from the association.
The first day of the trade fair (12.9.) will be dedicated to communication, customer and contact care. The bdla welcomes in addition Alexandra Kasper, advertising management of the Patzer publishing house, to its conditions. With the publishing house connects the bdla a co-operation of over ten years, in particular with the publication of the magazine landscape architects and the annually appearing landscape architect manual. Alexandra Kasper gives information about the marketing activities of their house and acquisition possibilities in aforementioned media.
"Day of the landscape architecture" is on Thursday (13.9.). Markus Illgas, bdla-speaker building technology and standardization, leads on this day together with four advisers by the "fabulous world of the sets of rules". At the bdla construction meeting, held in cooperation with the Bundesverband Garten-, Landschafts- und Sportplatzbau BGL (Federal Association of Garden, Landscape and Sports Ground Construction), the topics of swimming pond construction and tree planting will be addressed, before Prof. Andreas Thon will give an up-to-date overview of Building Information Modeling (BIM) in the green industry. The event will be rounded off with a look at cost planning in accordance with DIN 276.
At the same time, the presidium and management of the bdla will meet on the exhibition site. The day ends with a get-together, to which the bdla invites you together with NürnbergMesse to its stand in Hall 3A.
On Friday (14.9.) landscape architects from bdla Bavaria will present "Stars of the South". Seven landscape architecture offices, including Latz Partner, bauchplan ).(, Keller Damm Kollegen, Burkhardt I Engelmayer, will occupy the exhibition stand at hourly intervals. They will each present a design from their project portfolio and will then be available to answer questions from interested parties.
The last fair day (15.9.) dedicates the bdla to the new generation advertisement. At the "Day of Knowledge", representatives of universities and universities of applied sciences offering courses of study in landscape architecture will answer questions on the job description and fields of activity as well as on studies, study requirements, chamber eligibility and the like. The target group are pupils, students and trainees; the aim is to inform about the profession of landscape architecture and to inspire for the same.
The design of the bdla exhibition stand goes back to the young talent competition "grünebühne" from 2016, as a result of which the 2nd prize-winning work "Inside the Studio" by Lucca Bergmann, a graduate of the University of Kassel, was "godfather" to the exhibition stand builder Skupin Design.
