Profession on the green-blue path. Construction meeting and reception on September 12. FRISCHGRÜN exhibition at the bdla stand

The 25th GaLaBau trade fair will take place in Nuremberg from September 11 to 14, 2024. The demand for products and services relating to the planning, construction and maintenance of green spaces is constantly increasing. Greenery stands for more quality of life, for more quality of stay.

However, the sometimes drastic consequences of climate change have long been a reality. The green sector will be demonstrating its achievements at the anniversary show along the green-blue path "Together climate-proof into the future". Landscape architects are experts in adapting to climate change. They work creatively and seek aesthetic solutions for the design of urban spaces and landscapes - with green open spaces for fresh air, infiltration areas, green roofs and façades, biotopes and renaturation. The tasks of transforming our environment in terms of climate adaptation and promoting biodiversity offer the potential to make cities and landscapes more liveable.

This is why the bdla is presenting itself and the profession of landscape architects at its own stand in Hall 3A at the leading international trade fair for the planning, construction and maintenance of urban and green spaces for the fourth time in a row.

Further training/expanding knowledge or exchanging experience and information is the main reason for a third of visitors to the trade fair. The bdla is gearing its commitment to this in 2024 with, among other things, the further training event "Building briefing" and the presentation of "FRISCHGRÜN - Exhibition of young landscape architecture".

Landscape architecture and regulations "dominate" the 2nd day of the association's trade fair. On this day, Tom Kirsten, bdla spokesperson for construction technology and standards, will guide visitors through the "fabulous world of regulations" together with three speakers during the traditional bdla construction briefing. The half-day event, organized in cooperation with the Federal Association of Gardening, Landscaping and Sports Facilities BGL, Godelmann and NürnbergMesse, will focus on safeguarding and promoting species diversity and biodiversity in urban areas. In addition, experiences from the planning, construction, care and maintenance of façade and roof greening projects will be exchanged and basic static considerations for supporting structures and the significance of the substitute building materials ordinance for the recyclability of mineral waste will be discussed. Thursday will end with a reception to which the bdla and NürnbergMesse invite visitors to the bdla stand in Hall 3A.

At the bdla stand, eleven young office owners will present themselves and the work they have planned and completed in recent years - in the form of the "FRESH GREEN" exhibition. In this way, the bdla aims to present the new young landscape architecture scene to a wider public. The current exhibition is intended as a snapshot and serves to visualize the special structural and design quality of young landscape architecture and its "makers".

Experience has shown that the many private visitors to the exhibition halls should also get their money's worth. With this clientele in mind, the bdla has once again brought along its Pixi booklet "Landscape architect Lena plans a park for everyone". The Pixi booklet is intended to introduce the profession of landscape architect to children aged four to seven in a playful way. And of course, the association is also aiming the publication at (grand)parents, siblings, educators and all those people who read aloud and are familiarized with the profession and its services in this way.
