"A city goes to the Rhine - insights into the planning of the permanent site of the State Garden Show" with landscape architect Cornelia Breda, geskes hack Landschaftsarchitekten GmbH, Berlin

The exhibition of the competition for the Baden-Württemberg Landscape Architecture Award 2022 shows in the premiere in the meeting point Baden Württemberg of the State Horticultural Show Neuenburg am Rhein 2022 in 27 exhibits along with explanations of the competition process all awarded and nominated projects.

In the exhibition opening on 04 August 2022, the chairman of the bdla Baden-Württemberg e.V. and member of the jury, Urs Müller-Meßner, presented the procedure and acknowledged the outstanding performance of the clients and the participating landscape architecture firms, without which a transformation of open spaces with regard to climate change, energy and mobility change is inconceivable.
In the subsequent tour, the guests had the opportunity to visit the exhibition and to exchange ideas with award winners and nominees, some of whom were present.

During the subsequent guided tour of the LGS grounds with Nils Degen, Managing Director of LGS Neuenburg 2022 GmbH, and Andreas Böhringer, AG freiraum Freiburg, who was the on-site site manager for the office geskes.hack Landschaftsarchitekten, Berlin, the sub-areas Stadtpark am Wuhrloch and the Rhine Gardens with Rhine Meadows, Rhine Terrace and Rhine Meadows were visited.

In the area also the three blue "Follies", small architectural ornamental buildings with views to prominent places at the "Klemmbach", in the "city park at the Wuhrloch" and at the "Rheinterrasse" were visited to the topic "Landscape: Retrospect-View-Insight - LGS Neuenburg am Rhein". They inform garden show visitors from the border triangle in German and French about the occupational field of landscape architects and show at the selected project places exemplarily the working method of the landscape architecture. A valid admission ticket is required for access to the Landesgartenschau grounds.
Participation in the event and the guided tour is free of charge.

Recognition of the advanced training
The event isrecognized by the Chamber of Architects Baden-Württemberg / AKH Hessen and possibly other chambers as advanced training with a
scope of 1.5 teaching hours for members (not architects / urban planners:innen in internship).
Members of other state chambers are requested to contact us directly. Participants will receive a confirmation of participation.

The exhibition can be seen daily during the opening hours of the Landesgartenschau from August 3 to 14.
