Conference topic
Energy transition, climate adaptation, preservation of biodiversity, development of environmentally friendly cities: the complexity of tasks in spatial, urban and landscape planning is increasing. Now is the time to set the right course for stable cities and landscapes of the future.
The focus of this year's conference is on planning the upcoming transformation of cities and landscapes in an interdisciplinary and networked way. The aim of all planning is to improve the quality of life in cities and to avoid or minimize current and future environmental hazards as far as possible. Urban open space is the key factor for the development of resilient urban districts and open spaces, for climate adaptation and biodiversity.
How much green space and urban nature does the city need? In what quality and form? Does a mandatory open space design plan lead to more open space quality? What specific concepts are local authorities currently developing for this? Why is the control of light immissions important? And what experience has been gained with biodiverse, near-natural planting concepts? In addition, the current new legal situation at federal and state level for the planning implementation of the energy transition on land will be presented and discussed.
Municipalities, regional and urban planners and landscape architects are faced with the complex task of jointly developing, organizing and implementing sustainable answers for cities and their surrounding areas in order to promote healthy living conditions in the long term.
The Association of German Landscape Architects Baden-Württemberg, in cooperation with the SRL Regional Group Baden-Württemberg and the BVDL, will address current issues in landscape architecture and urban planning and, together with experts from ministries, local authorities and universities, will present solutions for local authorities and planners.
The Landscape Planning 2022 conference will be held as a face-to-face event, taking into account any applicable corona regulations, in order to enable a personal exchange of experiences among fellow experts.
