The Peter Joseph Lenné Prize of the State of Berlin is the world's largest ideas competition for young talent in garden and landscape architecture, open space planning and urban development who are being trained or are already working in these fields.
In 2024, the Peter Joseph Lenné Prize will celebrate an anniversary: launched in 1965 as an international competition for young talent by the state of Berlin, it will be awarded for the 50th time this year, flanked by the Lenné Symposium 2024.
In the anniversary year 2024, the tasks ranged from visions for the transformation of an inner-city traffic area to the redesign of a landscape disturbed by open-cast mining and the planning of a Mediterranean stretch of coastline. The submission deadline was June 28, 2024; the jury met on August 22 and 23, 2024. The award ceremony will take place on November 22, 2024 in Berlin.
