One year after the new Mantelverordnung came into force, it is time to take stock. The training course is an attempt to contribute to clarification with the help of four presentations.

The speakers come from the following areas:

• Enforcement authority / Senate (Waste Management Authority Berlin)
• Analysis and laboratory work
• Disposer of mineral waste / construction waste processor / sales of substitute building materials
• Consulting and monitoring engineering office

The training serves as a reflection on the practical application of the EBV for the area of open space planning and gardening and landscaping and is a comparison between requirements and reality for the states of Berlin and Brandenburg.

Since August of last year, the application of the Mantelverordnung and the Ersatzbaustoffverordnung contained therein has been mandatory. There is no way around this ordinance when it comes to the use of recycled building materials and the disposal of materials.

There are a number of new regulations that must be observed by clients, planners, construction supervisors and contractors.

The conference format is designed as a discursive process and exchange of experience. After the input from the speakers, participants will have the opportunity to formulate questions during the break, which will be discussed following the presentations. The questions and answers will be compiled after the conference and sent to the participants.
