The Association of German Landscape Architects (bdla), Hamburg Regional Association and Schleswig-Holstein Regional Group, cordially invite you to a continuation of their popular series of events "Building Site Inspections": New Housing on the Site of the Former Ochsenzoll Clinic.

The listed ensemble of the former hospital Ochsenzoll from 1891 is being developed and densified into a new residential quarter with around 450 units. The buildings and pavilions are located in a park of around 11 ha. Former patient gardens will become private gardens. Park-like structures, such as impressive large trees, linden avenues and diverse planting, will be preserved or supplemented and made accessible. Tree care and rainwater management are key aspects of this construction project.

The planning since 2012 and the construction site development of three years can be read at one location, from the start of construction of the 1st BA in 2015 to the final 3rd BA currently under construction in 2018.

Guided tour by Nikolaus Gurr, GHP Landschaftsarchitekten, Hamburg and Dr. Jens Beck, Behörde für Kultur und Medien/ Denkmalschutzamt Hamburg/ Referat Gartendenkmalpflege and others.
