bdla mourns the death of Frank Schröder

On February 8, 2020, Frank Schröder, landscape architect bdla from Wernigerode, passed away at the age of 45. Frank Schröder had been admitted to the Chamber of Architects of Saxony-Anhalt in 2010; in 2016 he joined bdla, and in 2017 he took over the chairmanship of the bdla regional association of Saxony-Anhalt.

A native of Wernigerode, he studied landscape planning at the Technical University of Berlin and founded his landscape architecture firm Werkstatt 51 in his hometown immediately after graduating.

In 2002, he "came into contact" with a state horticultural show for the first time, as a technical employee of LGS Wernigerode 2006 GmbH, and he remained loyal to this field of work in various functions.

From 2002 to 2009 he was authorized signatory and horticultural-technical manager at the LGS Wernigerode 2006 GmbH and then managing director of the after-use as Wernigerode Bürgerpark. From 2010, Frank Schröder was responsible for the horticultural and technical implementation of the LGS Aschersleben, and from 2011 to 2016 he was head of planning and technical implementation at the Zweckverband BUGA 2015 Havelregion.

This was followed by the LGS Burg 2018, for which he took over the management of horticultural and technical implementation in 2016.

In July 2019, Frank Schröder had been appointed managing director of the Bad Dürrenberg State Garden Show gGmbH 2022.

For 18 years, he toured from project to project and accompanied shows in Saxony-Anhalt and Brandenburg over several years. His roots remained in Wernigerode, there he and his family had their center of life, friends, companions.
