Tourism meets landscape - one man's pleasure, another man's burden?

Tourism is booming in Schleswig-Holstein and all other tourist regions in Germany. What part does landscape architecture play in this?

In keeping with the theme, the Malenter Runde 2019 is going on tour and, with its conference venue in the Hüttener Berge Nature Park, invites you to a critical and stimulating examination of the topic of tourism. Among other things, it would like to address the importance of landscape architecture in the development of tourism regions in northern Germany, especially in relation to the preservation and development of natural and cultural landscapes.

Tourism researchers, landscape architects, tourism experts and responsible state and local politicians or representatives of the relevant ministries and local practitioners will have their say.
