Now it is official: The EU Commission has filed a lawsuit against the Federal Republic of Germany at the European Court of Justice.
The application was served on the Federal Ministry of Economics on 28 June 2017. In the Commission's view, the Regulation on Fees for Architectural and Engineering Services (HOAI) violates EU law.
Together with chambers and associations of architects and engineers, the bdla continues to campaign for the continued existence of the HOAI. A decision of the ECJ is expected within two years. The bdla will keep you informed about the development.
