With the promise of Federal Minister Horst Seehofer to take over the patronage of the German Landscape Architecture Award 2019, State Secretary Gunther Adler welcomed bdla President Till Rehwaldt and bdla Federal Executive Director Ingeborg Paland to the conversation on 1 February 2019.

Prof. Hagen Eyink gave a positive outlook on the further implementation steps of the White Paper "Urban Greening". A federal "Urban Greening" prize is in preparation. In implementation of the coalition agreement, preparatory talks are being held with the federal states on the further development of urban development funding.

Till Rehwaldt emphasized the importance of the Future Urban Greening program. In order not to counteract the positive effects of the "Urban Greening" White Paper or the BMU's Urban Nature Master Plan, he called for the expiry of Section 13 b of the Building Code (BauGB). Furthermore, he advocated an institutional and personnel strengthening in the BMI to deal with the topic of "green infrastructure".
