On the evening of 20 September 2019, the awards in the 14th year of the German Landscape Architecture Award competition will be presented at the Allianz Forum at the Brandenburg Gate.
Ceremonial act and summer party
This event, to which the awarding bodies and sponsors are once again expecting over 400 guests, is the highlight of the event and at the same time the crowning conclusion of this year's competition. Starting at 6:30 p.m., the first prize and nine awards will be presented, and the "showcase" of German landscape architecture will be "decorated" anew with high-quality, innovative projects that have attracted national and international attention and that symbolize the range of tasks of the profession.
The evening event will be hosted by Reinhard Hübsch, radio presenter, architecture critic and author.
Dipl.-Meteorologe Sven Plöger holds Laudatio
The laudation will be held by meteorologist Sven Plöger, best known from "Wetter vor acht". He has made his fascination with the sky, clouds and flying his profession, his vocation, and is one of the most sought-after TV presenters, talk show guests, book authors and documentary filmmakers when it comes to climate and climate change. His lecture will be dedicated to "Climate Change - Good Prospects for Tomorrow?!".
The ceremony and summer festival will once again be a meeting place for the award winners and those who have received awards, the developers and competition participants, the landscape architects and those who want to become landscape architects, the guests and their companions.
Exhibition of the award-winning projects
On the occasion of the award ceremony, the award-winning projects will be presented in an exhibition in the Rotunda; the competition documentation, hot off the press, will allow the projects "to go".
Excursions on Saturday
