On 13 February 2020, it will be that time again: in the historic ballroom at Schloss Dyck, the Gardens of the Year 2020 will be awarded in a festive evening event.

Once again, landscape architects, gardeners and landscapers from Germany, Austria and Switzerland took the opportunity to submit their most successful projects to the competition.

The expert jury, in which Prof. Dr.-Ing. Swantje Duthweiler, Chairwoman of bdla Bavaria and bdla spokeswoman for plant use, participated on behalf of bdla, had reviewed the submissions at the jury meeting on 14 July 2019 in Munich and awarded the First Prize, endowed with 5,000.00 euros, and recognitions.

On the occasion of the award ceremony, Callwey Verlag presents a comprehensive illustrated book with the 50 most beautiful private gardens.

For the second time, the focus was on the best product solutions in the field of garden design. For the first time, there is an award for the best garden photographer of the year.

The competition is organised by Callwey Verlag and its magazine Garten Landschaft, in cooperation with bdla, BGL, DGGL, BSLA, ÖGLA, GaLaBau Verband Österreich, JardinSuisse, Giardina, Mein schöner Garten, Gartenpraxis and Stiftung Schloss Dyck.
