On March 14 and 15, 2025, a two-day event will explore the potential of gender equality, diversity and inclusion (GDI) for everyday office and planning work.

Andreas Süß

The demands for gender equality, diversity and inclusion (GDI) are not new, but have become noticeably more important and urgent in recent years. The younger generation in particular is calling for innovative forms of work and a changed culture - in planning offices, participation processes and on construction sites. Terms such as gender pay gap, work-life balance, participation and flat hierarchies are shaping current debates. Diversity is increasingly seen as an opportunity.

The event "gender-equitable, diverse, inclusive: strategies for offices and planning" is dedicated to the current status of discussions on GDI in landscape architecture and is the bdla's prelude to the WILA Festival 2025. It will shed light on GDI in planning offices as well as gender- and diversity-sensitive approaches in planning processes. The topics will be developed together in keynote speeches, discussions and workshops. The central message: using the potential of GDI for the office and professional practice creates added value for everyone.

A practical excursion on Saturday, March 15, 2025, rounds off the event.

  • The full program and online registration will be published at the end of January 2025.
