The focus of the Executive Committee's association work is on networking and the need for further training; the Executive Committee dealt with this in detail at its meeting in Berlin on June 6, 2024.

For example, the Green Basics Academy 2024 had to be evaluated, which was once again a great success with over 700 participants and should be repeated in 2025. A workshop "Joint creation of a system model for the implementation of the sponge city concept in building planning and building regulations law" had to be prepared, Prof. Dr. Antje Backhaus will represent the bdla. The CDU/CSU parliamentary group had asked the bdla to nominate an expert for the public expert discussion on sports facilities and urban development on 26.6.2024 in the Bundestag; Ralf Maier, owner of maier landschaftsarchitektur Köln, spoke as an expert on behalf of the profession.

Prof. Stephan Lenzen and the BGSt. in turn presented a programme for the bdla retreat on the topic of "Digitalization and artificial intelligence in landscape architecture" for discussion. In the fall of 2024, an expert workshop on intervention regulation is also planned, in which Presidium members Gudrun Rentsch and Martina Gaebler will participate.

With the idea of a university day, the focus was set on 2025. Together with LASKO and BUFALA, it is conceivable to establish a new Landscape Architecture University Day. The Gender Equitable bdla working group is again planning an event on March 14 and 15, 2025 on central topics of the GDI action plan; the Executive Committee supports the initiative.

Following the Advisory Board's decision in April 2024, the relaunch of the German Landscape Architecture Award website and the regional landscape architecture awards is to start quickly. It is a thoroughly complex project, including the design and technical relaunch of the web portals and all media with the aim of creating a common "LA Prize family". A working group is to be set up for this complex task.
