Urban greenery is a location factor that shapes the image and image of a city. Numerous municipalities have recognized this since the first state garden show in 1980 in Ulm/Neu-Ulm. Since then, more than 800 hectares of open spaces have been upgraded or newly created, with landscape architects playing a major role in their design.

The challenges have changed, of course!

The Garden Show Eppingen 2022 shows how landscape and open space can be developed and used to meet, as it were, sustainable, ecological, climatic, economic, social, functional and design challenges.
