Sustainable, climate-adapted urban development is of central importance for Freising. The aim is to develop strategies and create structures that enable adaptation to climate change and its local consequences. The city of Freising is tackling this complex and challenging issue to ensure the best possible protection for the population and has developed a comprehensive climate adaptation concept with concrete fields of action.

In the exhibition "Together for a livable future", the content of the climate adaptation concept Freising 2050 - KLAPS 50 is shown, on view from May 12 to July 06, 2023 in the foyer of the administration building in Amtsgerichtsgasse 6 (Mondays to Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Fridays from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.).

Mark and participate: Opening on Thursday, May 11, 7 pm

All interested parties are cordially invited to the opening with Mayor Tobias Eschenbacher on Thursday, May 11, 2023, 7 pm. Stadtbaumeisterin Barbara Schelle introduces the topic, Prof. Stephan Pauleit from the Chair of Strategy and Management of Landscape Development at the Technical University of Munich gives a short impulse on the topic "Green City of the Future". Subsequently, the planners:inside and the coworkers:inside of the office for town planning and environment are available for questions.

The project was promoted by the Bavarian Ministry of State for housing, building and traffic with subsidies of the country for modelful urban planning and research in the context of the model project climate-fair town construction. An accompanying information brochure summarizes the content of the climate adaptation concept and is available free of charge at the exhibition.
