Online symposium of the EIA Society.

The expansion of renewable energies is a central task for the future, which poses new challenges for all those involved in planning. The multitude of amendments to the technical law and new laws ensure that, in addition to the desired accelerations, uncertainties can also arise with regard to the contents and scope of application of the proven instruments of environmental assessment.

This raises a whole range of issues that we want to address at this event:


What framework do EU emergency regulations and the Renewable Energy Directive (RED III, IV) set for national planning and approval procedures for renewable energy plants?

How can the intended shift of the investigation of environmental impacts from the concrete project level with EIA to the upstream planning level with SEA succeed without compromising quality?
In what form can species protection requirements be adequately taken into account at this level in the future?
How does the practice deal with the new requirements?
