Applications for the artouro 2024 are possible up to and including April 30, 2024!

Bavaria is the No. 1 tourism destination in Germany. In order to recognize the importance of high-quality and sustainable tourism architecture in vacation decisions, the Bavarian State Ministry of Food, Agriculture, Forestry and Tourism and the Bavarian Chamber of Architects, in cooperation with Bayern Tourismus Marketing GmbH, have been awarding the artouro - Bavarian Tourism Architecture Prize since 2011.

This award, which is unique in Germany to date, is intended to recognize architectural courage and foresight as well as provide an incentive for the two sectors of tourism and architecture to cooperate even more closely. At the same time, this prize is intended to highlight the economic, ecological and social importance of high-quality tourism architecture.

Special artouro Accessibility Award
On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the Bavarian Chamber of Architects' Accessibility Advisory Service, one of the focal points of artouro 2024 is barrier-free construction: In addition to the artouro, the special artouro accessibility prize will therefore be awarded.
