The five-part seminar series is aimed at experienced landscape architects. However, due to the discussion of fundamental issues, it is also suitable for newcomers to the profession. Attending the other parts is not a prerequisite for participation.

Objective
The aim of the event is to provide seminar participants with an insight into the typical topics of acceptance and liability for defects.

Content
In the area of conflict between the client and the executing company, it is the task of the landscape architect to monitor the construction process in order to achieve a defect-free and functional work. At the same time, he is obliged to inform, clarify and advise the client professionally and, within the scope of his duty of care, also in terms of building law. The special regulations of DIN 18916 for planting work present those involved in construction with considerable practical and legal problems.

The seminar provides a practice-oriented approach to the technical and legal particularities of the acceptance of planting work and claims for defects. Problems are discussed from a technical and legal perspective along the construction site process. At the same time, liability traps are explained and possible solutions are shown, taking into account the legal background, mainly the VOB/B contract.
